The Yoga Farm is a rustic yoga center and sustainable living project located on Costa Rica's southernmost Pacific coast. Set amidst beautiful tropical rainforest, and overlooking open ocean, we are ideally located for those looking to reconnect with mind, body, and nature.

open air yoga studio

Our particular region of Costa Rica is regarded as one of the most biologically diverse places in the world and guests can expect to see an abundance of wildlife during their stay. We provide everyone who stays with us simple, comfortable accomodations, daily guided yoga classes with resident instructors, and three healthy, primarily vegetarian meals each day. While life here is very much a communal affair, we encourage people to take as much time to themselves as they like, and food is always available, regardless of meal schedules.

The Yoga Farm is always working towards developing a more sustianable way of life through permaculture based design and land use. We are 100% solar powered and off the grid. We harvest both rain water and natural spring water on site. Our gardens and fruit trees supplement an ever increasing amount of our food needs and our buildings are built with natural materials in an architecture that eliminates seperation from the natural beauty around us.

Please note: The rainy season is here! For info on visiting the Yoga Farm now through December, make sure to read the rainy season info on the 'rates' page.

For everybody interested in visitng this coming season, beginning Jan 1st, we will start taking reservations on Sep. 1st. We look forward to seeing you then.

. . . . . . .

"In the beginning were the howlers. They always commenced their bellowing in the first hour of dawn, just as the hem of teh sky began to whiten. It would start with just one: his forced, rhythmic groaning, like a saw blade. That aroused others near him, nudging them to bawl along with his monstrous tune. Soon the maroon-throated howls would echo back from other trees. As it was in the beginning, so it is every morning in the world."
-Barbara Kingsolver, The Lacuna.
